September 19, 2006 Board Meeting Agenda Item #21 Title APPROVAL OF CONTRACT WITH GULF COAST EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, DBA THE READING STATION AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO TARGETED STUDENTS OF TITLE I SCHOOLS FOR 2006-2007. Description Gulf Coast Educational Services, DBA The Reading Station, will provide tutoring in reading to small groups with sessions that will last a minimum of an hour at a rate of $55.00 per hour per student.  This contract will not exceed $950.00 per student and is paid from Title I funds as stipulated in No Child Left Behind. Recommendation That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the contract with Gulf Coast Educational Services, DBA The Reading Station to provide tutorial services to targeted Title I students.
